For Employers

The importance of supplying ‘Fit for Purpose’ footwear to employees in many industrial marketplaces has become a major issue and in many cases a major headache for those ignoring the new standards.

An issue that has always been in the background for many years is now rearing it’s ugly head in the form of claims against employees for not supplying correct ‘Fit for Purpose’ footwear. Incidents where employees have slipped, tripped or fell at their workplace are now being highlighted in serious legal cases.

To solve these issues being faced by many employers the European Standards Committee set specific regulations for supplying Occupational and Safety footwear.

EN347-1 (Occupational) and EN345-1 (Safety) are certifications given to footwear that have gone through rigorous testing from independent auditors.

Footwear that is worn in today’s workplace must provide a high level of protection but to ensure employees wear this protection they must be comfortable and durable for the long periods of time. With the use of moisture wicking linings, breathable membranes and shock-absorbing sole units, to name but a few of the technologies, MAGNUM is leading the field in comfort and protection.
